Budget stay near BKC & the US Consulate

Nap Manor Hostels in Santacruz East is about 15 minutes’ drive from Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and the US Consulate. Reception is open 24 hours, breakfast is free from 8:30 AM, and you can leave your bags with us for free on appointment day. Guests must be 18–55 with ID showing an address outside Mumbai.

Getting to BKC and the US Consulate

Bandra Kurla Complex — BKC — and the US Consulate are about 15 minutes' drive from the hostel. An app cab (Uber or Ola) is a simple way to get there; on appointment day, give yourself a margin for traffic rather than cutting it fine.

Arriving in Mumbai the day before? Mumbai Airport Terminal 1 is 3.7 km away (about 13 minutes by car) and Terminal 2 is 6.3 km (about 18 minutes). Santacruz Metro is 400 m from our door and Santacruz railway station 900 m. Our airport guide has the details.

Who can stay — please read this first

Nap Manor is a backpacker hostel for travellers, and two rules matter here more than anywhere:

• Age 18–55. We can only host adults in this range, and we check ID at check-in. No children, no pets.
• An ID with an address outside Mumbai. If your ID shows a Mumbai address, we unfortunately can't host you — even for a consulate appointment. Indian guests can use Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID with the address visible (PAN isn't accepted). International guests need a passport and valid visa.

On appointment day

• Reception is open 24 hours, so you can head out as early as your slot needs.
• Breakfast is free — a buffet from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. With an early slot you may be gone before it starts, so plan for that.
• Luggage storage is free at reception before check-in and after check-out, so you don't have to carry your bags around on the day.
• Check-out is 11:00 AM. Late check-out until 4:00 PM is ₹500, subject to availability and paid upfront.
• Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before check-in, if your appointment date moves.

Where you'll sleep

There are seven room types over two floors, ground and first, reached by stairs (there is no lift). Five are air-conditioned dorms — 4, 6 and 8 beds, including an 8-Bed Female Dorm for women only — and two are private rooms, one with its own bathroom. Every bed has a personal locker, a reading light and a power plug. Quiet hours run from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, which helps before an early start.

After the appointment

Juhu, Bandstand and Carter Road are each about 20 minutes' drive if you'd like to see the sea before your flight or train. Closer to home, Cafe Kokomo — our sister cafe, run by the same team and a short walk from the hostel — is open 11 AM–11 PM every day for coffee, food and somewhere to sit and work.
